Roundabouts put safety in a spin

Sending out the wrong messages! That's angry campaigners' view of sponsors' adverts on roundabouts

Now the Campaign to Protect Rural England wants an end to them. Although there's been a crackdown on unauthorised roadside ads, CPRE says county councils still allow "clutter" that is potentially dangerous. "They need to fully consider the effect on road safety," said a spokesman.
