Funky concept leads the chase to replace city car
02nd May 2007
We revealed the company's three latest concepts in Issue 955, and one is set to go on to become a replacement for the Matiz.
The trio was put on display at the New York Motor Show in April, then members of the public across the world were given the chance to cast their vote for their favourite model online.
The poll is still open, but it looks like the retro-styled Groove model is the runaway winner, with 60 per cent of the votes so far.
The polling is scheduled to finish on 31 May, and at the time of going to press more than 800,000 people had taken part. Simply log on to www.vote4chevrolet.com to make your voice heard.
Due to arrive in the UK in 2009, the Matiz replacement will also spawn a Vauxhall based on the same General Motors platform.
