Thje company's telling customers who order a new R8 supercar now they won't take delivery until 2009.

Apparently, the delay is due to problems in producing the carbon fibre panels. So while some buyers who put down a deposit last autumn will get their R8 in July - the forecast launch date - others will have to wait a further three months.
