Bugatti locks out thieves

It's the question that must trouble every Bugatti Veyron buyer: where should I put the keys?

BUgatti safe

16th May 2007

The answer is here - inside the latest accessory for owners of the £830,000 supercar.

It's a 550kg safe that features state-of-the-art anti-theft protection, including a five-button keypad, four-way ground anchors, plus sonic and noise sensors. There's even optional GPS satellite tracking in case it's ever stolen.

The ultimate strongbox is the work of renowned German safe maker Stockinger. Its interior is illuminated by LED lights, and there are turned aluminium trays for jewellery and watches. What's more, buyers can have the exterior custom painted to match the colours of their Bugatti. And the whole thing could be considered a bargain for Veyron owners - a snip at £63,000.
