Twin-turbo takes top prize for BMW

BMW has won the International Engine of the Year award - for the third time in a row

The German maker's 3.0-litre twin-turbo in-line six-cylinder unit, fitted to the 335i, gained top honours this time.

The powerplant's performance impressed judges so much, it also collected the Best New Engine title. This was one of six gongs picked up by the company at the Engine Expo, held in Stuttgart, Germany.
