Our man Disdale hands Escort keys to Ford’s Nevill

We used the 1989 1.6 GL in features such as Fat Car Nation (Issue 885) - a story which was picked up by the national press. But now, the 'mint' Escort is on display at Ford's Heritage Centre in Dagenham, Essex.

Spokesman John Nevill received the keys enthusiastically. "This is a fantastic example. Not only does it have the rare CVT gearbox, but it's pristine, with a genuine 33,000 miles on the clock," he said.
