Budget hatch is getting into trim

Proton addresses criticism on the interior of the Gen2

Proton Gen2

02nd June 2007

Proton's Gen2 has always been let down by one thing - its drab beige interior. So now the firm has added a dark grey alternative to the line-up. And if you buy before the end of June, there is the choice to upgrade to full leather at no extra cost.

Standard kit includes a height-adjustable driver's seat, CD player with steering wheel controls, parking sensors and electronic brakeforce distribution. The hatch comes with 1.3 or 1.6-litre petrol engines, developed by Proton-owned Lotus.
