Gas is answer to rubber savings

The cost of kitting your car out with tyres may have risen, but there is a way to save money - filling them with nitrogen will increase their life by 25 per cent.

29th May 2007

Benefits of using the inert gas include the prevention of rubber corrosion, excess wear and loss of pressure. Interested drivers will need to have their tyres inflated with nitrogen professionally, as all normal air needs to be removed first. This costs as little as £2 per wheel. Contact your local tyre fitter for details.
