Peugeot has trendy dash with pair of dials and a trio of air vents in centre

The 308 might now hold only a few surprises, after appearing in Auto Express in pictures and on our website ahead off its planned debut. But the latest image provides a chance to see the interior of the new family model.

There's a smart dashboard featuring a pair of individually cowled instruments, with a trio of circular air vents at its centre.

Lower-spec models get a high-level central information readout, while top-of-the-range variants feature a screen for sat-nav. Three and five-door versions of the newcomer will hit UK showrooms next year. They will be followed by practical SW and estate models, as well as a fashionable CC-style cabrio, with a folding hard-top.

A Renault Scenic-rivalling compact MPV, set to be badged 3008, will be last to join the line-up.
