Mazda’s summer splash

The summer feelgood factor has reached Mazda – and to celebrate, the company has introduced three special-edition models

22nd June 2007

On sale this month are the 3 Tamura and 6 Tamura, which are based on TS-trimmed variants and get sporty bodykits with new front and rear bumpers.

The 3 has 16-inch alloys, while the 6 features 17-inch wheels – and both have climate control as standard. Priced at £13,795, only 700 examples of the 1.6-litre petrol engined 3 Tamura will be available. The 6 Tamura has a 147bhp 2.0-litre petrol unit and costs £15,995. Just 1,200 will go on sale.

Meanwhile, Mazda has also launched the rarer 6 Kumano – a
limited edition of 120 models with xenon headlights and 16-inch alloys. Based on TS2 trim, the Kumano gets a six-CD changer and auto wipers, among other extra items. Available with either a 2.0-litre petrol or 2.0-litre diesel engine, prices start at £17,550.
