XKR gets larger alloys
21st June 2007
The XK range is only a year old, but it has already been revamped. Inside, there’s fresh switchgear and piano black trim. An aerial in the rear spoiler replaces the widely criticised telescopic antenna. Prices for the XK are unchanged, at £60,097.
Standard equipment on the hot XKR variant is boosted, with all cars now getting 20-inch alloy wheels, Jaguar’s premium sound system and alloy pedals, plus a heated windscreen. Its price has risen by £2,602 to £70,097.
Also on display at the Motorexpo was the fresh X-Type, which gets a distinctive mesh grille. The line-up is simplified, with Classic and Sport variants axed to leave four trims: S, SE, Sport and Sovereign. Prices start at £21,500 for the entry-level 2.0-litre diesel S. The 2.2-litre oil-burner costs £22,500 and the 2.5-litre V6 petrol weighs in at £23,500.
