The new Fiat 500 is set to get five out of five for emissions.
22nd June 2007
Following the discovery of leaked engine specs, Auto Express can reveal that the city car will be one of the first models to meet Euro V emissions regulations, even though the stricter limits won’t come into force until 2009.
The 500 will initially be offered with three engines – 69bhp 1.2-litre and 100bhp 1.4 petrol units, plus a 75bhp 1.3-litre diesel. Its cleanest petrol motor will emit only 119g/km of CO2, while the oil-burner produces 111g/km. The 500 will go on sale in the UK early next year.
