Volvo V70

Price is right for Volvo's carriers

Swedish giant Volvo has announced prices and specs for its new V70 and XC70 estates, which are due here in September

Both models have a 40/20/40 split folding rear seat. There's lockable storage under the boot floor, while the direction of the tail-light beams automatically changes when the car is weighed down with heavy loads. Prices for the V70 start at £26,495 for the 2.5T SE, and rise to £38,280 for the T6 AWD Geartronic.

The rugged XC70 features permanent all-wheel drive and Hill Descent Control (HDC), plus body mouldings. It ranges from £31,035 for the D5 SE to £36,200 for the flagship 3.2 SE Geartronic. P32: Facelifted V50 driven
