As you can see, the new MINI gets a sporty two-door estate car look, which was revealed first in the form of the Shooting Brake concept car at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2005.
With twin van-style opening rear doors, an extra opening door on the driver’s side and a flat load area, it promises buyers a unique combination of style and practicality.
With no direct rivals, the Clubman will have to compete against quirky MPVs like Skoda’s Roomster and premium hatchbacks such as Audi’s A3 Sportback and BMW’s 1-Series. Prices are £14,235 for the entry-level Cooper, £15,400 for the Cooper D and £17,210 for the range-topping Cooper S. Sales start in November.
Make sure you get your copy of next week’s Auto Express (out on Wednesday August 1st) for the full story.
