Could one of these be the next Toyota Prius? Designed by students at the influential IED design college in Turin, Italy they aim to be “Tomorrow’s Hybrid vehicles”.

The project was set up in partnership with the Japanese firm in an effort to draw young designers attention to eco-sustainability. In addition the carmaker also wanted to give the petrol/electric motor more emotional styling to complement the hi-tech underpinnings. Director of the course Cesar Mendoza said: “The Toyota Prius is an icon, and having the chance to redesign it as exciting as being involved with the next Ferrari or McLaren.”
