We’ve had cardboard cops, but now cut-out children are helping to reduce accidents.

Residents in Ohio, US, have resorted to the two-dimensional life-size photos of youngsters to slow motorists.

By placing them close to the side of the road, locals have found that drivers are behaving more cautiously. In fact, the fake children have proved to be so effective that police forces in neighbourhood associations from all over the country are interested in using them.
