And then there were four. Peugeot has launched a new entry-level 2.2-litre diesel 407 Coupé to sit under the 2.7-litre V6 HDi and alongside the 2.2 and 3.0-litre petrol versions.

Available to order now, the 134bhp car covers 0-62mph in 10.1 seconds and hits a top speed of 129mph. Fuel economy is 48mpg and CO2 emissions are 156g/km. It costs £19,995.

The French firm has also revised the rest of the 407 Coupé range, and is now offering only one trim level, Sport. Prices for the revamped line-up start at £19,530 for the 2.2-litre petrol.
