Scalextric slot racing gets a new twist with built-in spinning and drifting ability

The latest craze in slot racing will really put you in a spin! Scalextric’s new set features a clever 360-degree spinning action that allows you to drift cars into corners as you try to outrun your opponent.

Street Pursuit features a Lamborghini Gallardo and a police-livered Range Rover, complete with flashing blue lights and siren. The figure-of-eight layout is designed to allow both cars to hang their tail out in bends, and there’s a chicane on the straight for close-shave passes.

The Range Rover is the firm’s first-ever sport utility model and has working headlights, while both cars are made from a tough one-piece bodyshell to withstand impacts. Also included are 20 tyres that can be set up as walls for players to topple, while gamers are encouraged to knock their competitor off the track by sliding into them.
