All-in-one In-Car PC folds out of compact dash unit

Who would have thought you could turn your vehicle’s cabin into a media hub with one kit? Yet that’s what the latest In-Car PC system does.

The computer combines TV, DVD player, sat-nav, MP3 player and Internet access in a single unit – and all the functions can be voice operated.

Online capability is provided by an integrated high-speed 3G mobile connection, so you can keep moving by logging on to route-finding or jam-spotting websites. With its array of features and seemingly endless capabilities, the In-Car PC is a brilliant way to keep passengers young and old entertained on long journeys.

And it’s also very useful if you work on the move. The maker says the unit can be set to read out E-mails; you simply dictate your reply to the machine. Now that really is keyless go! The range of accessories includes extra screens in the sun visors or the backs of the front headrests so rear passengers can use the kit as well.

In-Car PC offers an on-site installation service and a warranty for the equipment. The set-up is mounted and prepared ready for immediate use, so you simply get in and go.

Better still, unlike most home computers, the In-Car PC is future-proof – as the manufacturer also provides system and software upgrades.
