The Mercedes-Benz stand was awash with colour to represent the different seasons of the year and how green its cars would be. The first phase of tree dancers culiminated in them working themselves into the design of a car. The German maker then unveiled 19 green cars with the F700 the most visually stunning.

This concept is a research vehicle and will be powered by a DIESOTTO engine. The DIESOTTO combines the best elements of both diesel and petrol engines. The F700 has a 1.8-litre power plant which has an output of 238hp and can get from 0-62mph in 7.5seconds yet only has an output of 127g/km of CO2 emissions.
