Two hours after the firm lifted the wraps off its steaming new Raptor concept, now named the Reventon, it was still almost impossible to get past the press pack to get a look. Once in, though, it was hard to tear your eyes off the Italian firm's newcomer - which its obviously hoping will launch it into Top Gun position among the supercar gliterati.

Influenced by the American F-22 fighter jet, there are only 20 of these being built, so you'll have to be quick to secure your name in the order book. Based on the awesome Murcielago LP640, also on the stand, its shared 640bhp 6.5-litre powerplant promises 650hp, 660Nm of torque and a 0-62mph in just 3.4 seconds.
