Renault eco2

The stylish new Laguna Coupé was the star of Renault’s Frankfurt stand, but the French firm was also busy plugging its new eco2 Laguna hatch. It is powered by a 1.5-litre dCi diesel that returns 57.6mpg on the combined cycle and has a CO2 emissions rating of 136g/km. The manufacturer hopes its eco2 range, which also includes a Clio supermini and Mégane family hatch, will help it to become one of the top three greenest car makers by 2009.
