Here’s skateboarding’s answer to the Segway. The iSlide concept has one wheel and is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell. Designed by Israeli student Ofir Tal, it’s billed as a personal mobility device.
Under the tough plastic body is a gyroscope that provides balance, and to move or change direction, you simply lean back or forward. Top speed is 9mph, and built-in lights mean night-time use is possible. At present, Tal is seeking investment from major companies in order to further development.
