Sat-nav on your fob

The freedom Keychain is the most compact sat-nav system in the world

Freedom Keychain GPS SiRF III
GPS receiver is smallest on market

Is this the key to never getting lost? The Freedom Keychain GPS SiRF III may have a big name, but it’s the most compact sat-nav receiver in the world – and it’s small enough to attach to a car’s keyfob. It uses Bluetooth technology and can connect with smart mobile phones and PDAs to provide location data for their navigation software.

And as the dinky receiver has a loop to fit to your car keys, you’ll never leave it at home by mistake – something which can happen with other separate GPS receiver systems. The tiny unit weighs only 30 grammes and costs £59.95. It has a 10-hour battery life and can be charged at home via the mains or on the move using the 12-volt adaptor provided.

It’s just a shame you can’t locate the Freedom receiver via GPS when your keys go missing – Bluetooth only works over a range of around 10 metres!
