Budget brand Proton is boosting its Gen2 range with a special edition. The LE is based on the GLS version of the family hatch and features air-con, alloys and remote central locking. The 1.3-litre model costs £7,995, while the 1.6-litre is £8,595 – both £1,000 less than the GLS. Meanwhile, the Savvy supermini (pictured) has a sharper look, as a rear spoiler now comes as standard.
