Massa signed until 2010

There's no better vote of confidence than signing a three year contract extension. This announcement has ended speculation that reigning world champion and McLaren driver Fernando Alonso was to be signed by the Prancing Horse team - and replace Massa.

Massa has won three races this season and currently is in fourth position in this season’s championship. The Brazilian joined Ferrari at the end of 2005 from Sauber after scoring 11 points that season and outpacing his team mate and former world champion Jacques Villeneuve.
