As Auto Express’s product pages reveal week in, week out, there’s
an endless array of new electronic gadgetry available for your motor.
However, whether it’s the latest portable sat-nav system, a 12V adaptor for your portable MP3 player or a multimedia device (see Xoro HSD 7510, they all add extra drain to your car’s battery.
Now, the new Professional range from leading car battery manufacturer Yuasa has been designed to stand up to the increased power demands of modern motoring. The range is made up of 43 automotive batteries, with capacities ranging from 26Ah to 90Ah – and the units can be fitted to 99 per cent of the cars and light vans sold in the UK. The range is maintenance free, so there is no need to top the cells up with water. Inside, the batteries use ‘optimised grid technology’, which the maker says offers a longer service life and superior starting power when compared to standard rivals.
