Take a good look at this spy shot of the stunning new Dodge Challenger – because it’s likely to be the closest UK fans will get to the US muscle car.

Chrysler bosses have confirmed the Seventies-inspired machine will be available only in left-hand drive. And if this picture is anything to go by, British fans will be disappointed. In the flesh, the newcomer is a dead ringer for the concept car seen at the Detroit show this year. Power is likely to come from a 6.4-litre V8 engine pushing out 505bhp.
