Toyota could change both its drivers for next season. It is expected to
confirm GP2 champion Timo Glock in one of its seats for 2008.
Sources say the squad has made a big money offer to Red Bull star Mark Webber, and is also working on a deal to free up Nico Rosberg from his Williams contract.
Although Jarno Trulli (pictured) has a deal with Toyota until 2009, team management are waiting until the fallout of Fernando Alonso’s likely move from McLaren before confirming it.
Trulli claimed it was news to him that he might have to leave. He said: “I have a long-term contract, which I want to respect as I am putting a lot of effort in to make this team improve.”
Despite his denials, Trulli, current team-mate Ralf Schumacher, Japanese Sakon Yamamoto and Toro Rosso star Vitantonio Liuzzi are expected to test for the Spyker squad in the off-season.
The British-based outfit has been bought by Indian magnate Vijay Mallya and will be renamed Force India F1, with the cars called Force Indias. German rookie Adrian Sutil is certain to remain with the team.
