We put Flash Dash through its paces by spreading grease, dried orange juice and ground-in chocolate on our trim. Our test factored in how much time and effort was needed to remove the dirt from the plastics.
The range incorporates a shine pad, a pouch which contains 15 wipes and a plastic tub of 25. All three come with a fresh citrus fragrance, but it’s not so overpowering that it will take your breath away. We found the cheapest product, the Shine Pad, to be the most impressive. It performed extremely well, and with a little elbow grease, all the test grime was removed. The pad will last for about five swipes of the average dashboard in a family car, leaving a shiny finish each time. And as an added bonus, when its magic formula is gone you will still be able to use it as a normal sponge.
The wipes, which cost a little extra, took more effort to remove the dirt, although they did leave the same glossy finish. We also noticed that dust stays away longer than with some similarly priced rivals, due to the anti-static formula that is used by CarPlan.
