Bosses at the Korean brand are putting the finishing touches to the firm’s official approved used car scheme – and we have the exclusive lowdown on what buyers can expect.

The new programme will be rolled out this winter under the Kudos banner, and will be offered on 15-18 month-old ex-fleet and Kia management cars, with up to 18,000 miles on the clock.

All examples will be supplied to dealers from a new ‘de-fleet’ centre, where cars are comprehensively prepared for customers. They will be delivered directly to franchised garages and come with both vehicle history and mileage certificates. There’s also the reassurance of a 28-day exchange policy.

The company is also being tipped to extend its used car warranties to match those offered on its new vehicles. If that’s the case, a one-year-old Cee’d family car will still come with an incredible seven years of cover second-hand!

All cars available in the scheme will be listed on a central database. This means dealers can view the entire stock and have models delivered to them for viewing within seven days, free of charge. The brand will also upgrade its website to provide a search facility for its used car customers.
