Saab names price on limited-run 9-3
Prices for the range-topping 9-3 Turbo X have been announced by Saab. Only 500 examples will be sold in the UK, starting from £32,495, in either Sport Saloon or Sportwagon estate guise. The car – which was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September – has been introduced to celebrate 30 years of turbocharged models at the firm, and combines the company’s XWD four-wheel-drive transmission with a 280bhp 2.8-litre V6 turbo engine.

Motorists off hook in fine confusion
Thousands of fixed penalty parking fines are being disputed across Scotland, after blundering traffic wardens failed to fill out the tickets properly. Perth and Kinross Council is the latest authority to foot the bill, but Aberdeen and Edinburgh have already had to waive penalties worth millions, as motorists pounced on an error and succeeded in getting their fines overturned. The wardens had forgotten to mention that appeals could be made within 28 days.
