Aston Martin has revealed the drop-top version of its special edition V8 Vantage N400 – and it’s a stunner!
Now officially on sale in the UK, the N400 Coupe and Roadster get several tweaks over the standard model. Most significant are the upgrades made to the 4.3-litre engine, raising peak power from 380bhp to 400bhp, and maximum torque from 409Nm to 420Nm.
A Sports Pack also aims to offer sportier handling with uprated springs and dampers. However, for technical reasons the N400 Roadster does without the cornering enhancing rear anti-roll bar of the Coupe.
Despite this, buyers wanting the wind in their hair are charged an £8,000 premium. The N400 Coupe is priced at £94,000 with a manual gearbox or £97,000 with Aston’s two-pedal Sportshift transmission. The N400 Roadster weighs in at £102,000 in manual form and £105,000 with Sportshift. The standard Coupe is available from £82,800.
Extra visual muscle comes from a new bodykit, clear rear lamp lenses and a new grille. Inside, both the N400 Coupe and Roadster come with black leather seats and the all-important numbered plaque. Only 240 N400 Coupes will be sold alongside 240 N400 Roadsters.
