Stylish Fiat 500 watch clocks in
Count down the hours until the Fiat 500 arrives in UK dealers
with this stylish new watch. Designed by Roberto Giolito, who penned the car, the dial mimics the 500’s speedo and its leather strap is inspired by the upholstery. Giolito’s signature is engraved on the back of the £675 watch, on sale from the www.locman.com website.

Multimedia kit for Peugeot 207
Luxury kit is no longer restricted to big executive cars – the Peugeot 207 can now be ordered with the RT4 multimedia system. The ‘four-in-one’ device, available from next month, integrates colour satellite navigation, a built-in 30GB hard drive for storing up to 180 hours of music, a hands-free mobile phone and MP3 player connectivity. Prices start at £995.

Being a celebrity is a full-time job, according to online car insurer elephant.co.uk – as it has added the occupation to its database.

A spokesman said: “With so many wannabes in reality shows, we have customers who would be wrongly categorised if listed as anything else.” But there is a downside to being famous – listing your job title as ‘celebrity’ can hike premiums by 40 per cent!

X-Trail suffers crash test blow
Nissan’s Qashqai achieved the best Euro NCAP score ever, but its new X-Trail didn’t do quite as well in the latest round of crash testing. The SUV got four out of five stars for adult occupant protection and for child safety. Testers criticised the weak protection of the driver’s neck during impact, along with poorly marked Isofix anchor points in the rear. The X-Trail did even worse in pedestrian protection, earning only two out of four stars.
