Fuel cell frenzy hits Honda

Interest in Honda's FCX hydrogen fuel cell-powered car crashes dedicated website

04th December 2007

An explosion of interest in the hydrogen-powered FCX Clarity has crashed Honda’s dedicated website. The manufacturer set up www.automobiles.honda.com/fcx-clarity so potential buyers could register their interest. But it was overwhelmed with hits after the fuel cell’s unveiling at the Los Angeles Motor Show.

Honda has managed to get the site up and running again, and also launched an online TV channel. Log on to www.honda.co.uk and click the tab Honda TV, which shows the company’s famous ads and short films. You may even see the odd awards ceremony – the Jazz, known as the Fit in its home market, has been named Japanese Car of the Year, beating the likes of Mercedes’ C-Class.
