Tough going for young Brit Jarvis as Swiss star takes Malaysian double

Team GB has slipped to sixth in the A1 World Cup of Motorsport after driver Oliver Jarvis endured a troubled weekend in Malaysia.

A first-corner clash in the sprint event damaged his car, so he could only finish sixth. In the feature race he came 12th after being tagged from behind by the German entry and later suffering a penalty for speeding in the pitlane. “Olly drove well, but these things happen,” said Team GBR boss Katie Clements. Swiss driver Neel Jani won both races and now leads the championship.
