More power to Laguna diesel

Renault has fitted a new dCi unit into its Laguna for increased power and performance

A new 173bhp 2.0-litre dCi engine is now available for the Renault Laguna. It costs £750 more than the equivalent 148bhp 2.0-litre dCi unit, but will propel the French family car from 0-60mph in 8.7 seconds and
on to a top speed of 137mph.

The high-performance oil-burner returns 43.4mpg and has CO2 emissions of 172g/km. Prices start at £19,150 for the Dynamique hatch, rising to £23,900 for the flagship Initiale Sport Tourer.
