A taxing form of art
Tired of staring at the back of a dreary tax disc holder? Get one with limited-edition artwork instead from a range of designers at www.artcarbootfair.com, sponsored by Vauxhall. They cost from £30.

Firms warned on data
Garages are being warned to be extra careful with customers’ details, after Government data leaks. A spokesman for the Retail Motor Industry Foundation said: “It’s important workshops protect bank and credit card information.”

More bays at airport
Three new car parks with 7,000 bays have been built at Terminal 5 at London’s Heathrow Airport. A Short Stay area with 3,800 spaces is within walking distance of check-in. Valet parking is also available, with a drop-off and pick-up service.

Thumbs-up for valve caps
Tyre-valve caps which display whether the pressure is correct or low have been approved by safety research centre Thatcham. Lasertyre, by Laserline Direct, is the first such device to gain Quality Accreditation from the organisation.

Screen chips’ quick fix
One motorist in three is driving with a chip in the windscreen which could quickly spread in very cold weather says Kwik-Fit. But it claims its new repair service is the solution. It comes with a lifetime guarantee and costs £44.95.
