The new Porsche Panamera four-door is taking shape. These official sketches show the new model from above complete with the hybrid powertrain that promises to make it one of the most desirable grand tourers on the planet.
Using Porsche’s latest hybrid technology the Panamera will be capable of running on petrol or electric power, or combining the two sources for the ultimate performance.
What’s more, drivers can expect economy of around 31mpg. The Panamera will share its hybrid powertrain with the petrol/electric Cayenne hybrid which has already been revealed in prototype form.
Other official details are still under wraps, but Porsche is promising plenty of room in the rear and “an unmistakeable Porsche driving experience.”
The Panamera will be revealed next year when it will go on sale with conventional petrol engines. The hybrid variant will be added to the range later.
