World champ’s home honour
Reigning World Touring Car champion Andy Priaulx has been given the stamp of approval by his fellow countrymen. The Guernsey resident now features on a special set of postage stamps issued by the island’s post office.

Three different versions are available – one for every world title – with each one also picturing his distinctive Union Jack-covered BMW 3-Series. Proud Priaulx claimed: “To have my acheivements commemorated in such a public way is truly amazing.”

Aston looks back for the future

Two legends of motorsport have joined forces for an attack on the Le Mans 24 Hours in June. Aston Martin revealed its latest DBR9 in the stunning blue and orange livery of sponsor Gulf.

The oil company first won the classic race 40 years ago, when the Ford GT40 carried its colours. The Prodrive-run Aston squad will be defending its 2007 GT1 class victory, the manufacturer’s first win at the event since 1959.
