Race-bred Clio’s white send-off
Production of the Renaultsport Clio 197 F1 Team R27 has crossed the finish line – and to mark the occasion, the last example was given a one-off Glacier White paintjob. Only 500 cars were made for the UK since last April, but the chassis lives on in the recently released Clio Cup, and is an option on the standard 197.

General Lee sold in record auction
The world’s premier car auction is over for another year, and the 37th Barrett-Jackson sale in Scottsdale, Arizona, was a record breaker! More than 280,000 people attended the event, which featured 1,163 cars. Prize purchases included the first Corvette ZR-1, bought for million (£500,000), and the Dodge Charger from The Dukes of Hazzard TV show, which made 0,000 (£225,000).

Insurer targets novice drivers
Here’s a novelty – an insurance company that prefers covering young drivers and learners! At www.clickthepepper.com provisional licence holders with a vehicle in Group 15 or below and worth less than £20,000 can get fully comp cover. The idea is to encourage learners to practise between
lessons with a qualified driver over the age of 21 present in the car.
