Meet Trev, the brainchild of staff and students at the University of South Australia. It’s a three-wheeled prototype electric car, with a top speed of 75mph and range of 90 miles on a single charge. Trev makes the most
of the power available from its lithium-ion battery through a lightweight aluminium honeycomb chassis, fibreglass body and low-rolling-resistance tyres wrapped around featherweight alloys. The eco-friendly concept has one door, but seats two occupants, one directly behind the other tandem-style, with enough space for an overnight bag each.
