Schuey’s back in the driving seat
Michael Schumacher is returning to racing. The record-breaking German will defend his title in the International Challenge of Go-kart Champs, a charity event organised by Ferrari F1 star Felipe Massa, on 30 November. The fun event will be run in Florianoplis, Brazil, and is yet again set to attract drivers from many of the major racing series from around the world.

Zonta poised for Le Mans return
Former grand prix star Ricardo Zonta is joining Peugeot for this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours. The 31-year-old Brazilian has driven in F1 for BAR, Jordan and Toyota, and spent 2007 as Renault’s test driver. However, Zonta will now make a second attempt at the endurance classic. His first effort ended in failure in 1998 when the Mercedes he was co-driving broke down before he got behind the wheel.

Diesel Audi R10 makes Euro bid
Audi will compete in a European sportscar championship for the first time in a decade. The firm has announced that it’s entering all five rounds of the Le Mans Series with two of its diesel-powered R10 sportscars and a driver line-up that includes Scottish star Allan McNish. Previously, Audi has raced in the US, only returning to Europe for the Le Mans 24 Hours.
