Taking your driving test this Friday? If so, don’t be surprised if your examiner doesn’t turn up!
A one-day strike over pay could mean they are among 8,500 Department for Transport staff downing tools on 29 February – including DVLA and Highways Agency workers.
But the DSA says test candidates should still turn up, as not all its staff will be taking part if the Public and Commercial Services union action goes ahead.
It added, however, “If no examiner is available, a new date will be automatically re-booked by the DSA and the candidate will be sent an out of pocket expenses form along with details of the new test.” That should arrive within five to ten working days.
Visit www.dsa.gov.uk for more details about out of pocket expenses.
