Geneva gallery

As one of the most exciting expos of the year kicks off this week, we take a look at some of stunning art work that has promoted past Swiss shows.

It's not just the cars that star at Motor Shows - the artwork on the promotional posters does too!

As the Geneva expo opens its doors for the 78th time, we take a look back at the adverts that have been used to draw in show-goers.

From the art deco Twenties, through the swinging Sixties and onto the present day, each piece reflects the era it comes from. Check out the controversial national flag line-up of 1939 and the bold laser-themed drawings of 1990.

Although they're intended as marketing material, some could almost be considered works of art. So take a look for yourself and see if you can find a favourite.

And don't forget to check out www.autoexpress.co.uk over the coming days as we bring you the latest news and scoops from this year's show.
