Sat-nav mirror

New sat-nav is in view

Fans of sat-nav should take a long, hard look in the mirror.

Sat-nav mirror

10th March 2008

The new MirrorPilot Navigator is a replacement for the standard rear viewer, and incorporates a 2.2-inch colour screen with a built-in GPS receiver and speaker. You can forget sucker pads and tangled cables, too – the gadget, priced at about £530, does without any of them, as it runs directly from the car battery.

When you don’t need directions, the screen can be switched off to leave a reflective surface. But the main selling point is the safety benefit. Drivers don’t have to take their eyes off the road and focus on a dash-mounted sat-nav screen. All that’s required is a quick glance in the rear view mirror – which you should be used to doing anyway. Click on www.mirrorpilot.com for details.
