Stereo joins the club

Feature-packed hi-fi will be music to motorists ears.

From the men at the Ministry: High-spec stereo head unit and speakers have bargain price

08th March 2008

Here’s a whole new range of kit for your listening pleasure! Bring your in-car music system bang up to date with this high-spec multimedia set-up from Ministry of Sound.

Its new MOSCA099 head unit is competitively priced at £149.79, and it comes absolutely packed with features. Most impressive is the ability to watch DVDs on its 2.5-inch LCD screen. The TFT display is a little on the small side, but being able to watch movies when you are parked up is a real bonus. It’s compatible with DVD-R and DVD-RW discs, too.

Yet this system is not only about movies – it can play normal CDs, CD-Rs and CD-RWs, as well as discs encoded with MP3 or WMA digital music files. And for greater convenience, if those files are stored on a USB flash drive or an SD memory card, you can plug them straight into the head unit. The built-in tuner picks up FM and MW signals and has multiple station presets, while the system boasts a 40Wx4 maximum output. And to top it all, the facia is detachable for security.

Ministry of Sound has also produced a full in-car speaker kit. The MOSCA021PK pack includes a pair of three-way 6x9-inch speakers and a pair of two-way 6.5-inch units. The 6x9s provide 350W peak output and the 6.5-inch models deliver 250W.
