Ultimate Veyron?

The must-have motor for the fashion conscious supercar buyer.

Bugatti Veyron

17th March 2008

It’s the ultimate fashion accessory! If a standard Veyron is a little too common for you, how about one designed by the exclusive French couture house of Hermès?

Although the quad-turbo W16 engine remains untouched, the difference is in the detail. On the bonnet of the two-tone body, the Parisian label’s designer Gabriele Pezzini has introduced a new beige shade, which matches the leather-trimmed cabin.

Exterior alterations also include unique eight-spoke alloys branded with the Hermès H and dotted with small air vents, giving the appearance of saddle-stitching. The radiator grille is embossed with interlocking H initials, too. But the biggest changes are saved for the interior, where nearly every surface is swathed in ultra-expensive bull calfskin. The door handles resemble those of Hermès luggage, and in the leather-lined boot there’s a bespoke, hand-made travel bag to match.

As a final flourish, the dashboard glove compartment has been designed to fit a Hermès wallet precisely. The price of this modified Veyron? It’s a cool £1,153,410, or £286,658 more than the standard car. No wonder it’s so expensive – after all, even a humble Hermès notebook will set you back £165!
