Here's one kind of inflation car buyers don’t mind! Airbags have been revealed as the feature most people look for on a car. More than 70 per cent of 5,500 drivers told Auto Trader that they put them at the top of the list when it comes to desirable features.
Brake assistance systems are second most popular, and parking sensors third. Sat-nav and a stereo with MP3 connectivity round out the top five.
A typical used car such as a three-year-old Ford Focus comes with airbags and ABS as standard, with parking sensors adding £150 to the resale value and the seemingly less popular sat-nav £175.
Meanwhile, the survey also found people will look far and wide for a deal. Just over 30 per cent will travel up to 100 miles in order to get the right car.
