Copper’s tops with latest Micra
Here's some precious metal from Nissan! It has introduced a Visia+ special edition of the Micra – and it’s available with unique Sunlit Copper paint.
For an extra £500 over the standard Micra Visia, the new model adds air-con, while the 1.2-litre petrol engine is boosted from 64bhp to 79bhp, without affecting economy. You can also opt for an orange and chocolate-coloured interior, although the standard range of paint and interior trims is on offer.
Prices start at £7,995 for the three-door manual, while the five-door adds £650. An auto gearbox is a £900 option.

Peugeot has announced prices for its latest family estate. The 308 SW hits showrooms in June and starts from £14,395 for the entry-level 94bhp 1.4-litre petrol S model. This is a £500 premium over the hatchback.
There are eight engines to choose from – five petrol and three diesel. The mid-spec 1.6-litre petrol THP 150 Sport model is £17,495, while the top-of-the-range 2.0-litre SE HDi 136 costs £20,845 with a six-speed auto – that’s £1,300 more than the equivalent five-door hatch.
RAC team sorts misfuel blunders
The RAC is to launch a new dedicated service to deal with the rising number of misfuelling incidents – where a diesel car is accidentally filled with petrol.
It will rival the AA’s Fuel Assist, and be trialled in the south east of England. But unlike the AA scheme, only members will be able to use the service, which costs £150 per rescue.
RAC spokesman Dan Sparks said: “We will be able to help members at the roadside rather than recovering them to a garage, which speeds up the turnaround time.” RAC Rescue had nearly 50,000 misfuelling call-outs last year – up 15 per cent on 2006.
